The NWA 14316 meteorite stones were purchased in Errachidia, Morocco, in March of 2018. Many small pieces were recovered with a total known weight of 712 grams. NWA 14316 has been classified as a CM2 type carbonaceous chondrite and has a low level of shock and also a low weathering stage.

The NWA 14316 stones are dark gray with a dark fine grained matrix. The stones also have abundant chondrules and small CAIs with fine grained dust rims.
