Bicolite tektites are found in the Philippines, specifically the Bicol region. This area includes the southern part of Luzon, which is the Philippines’ largest and most populous island. Luzon has a long gold mining history, and many Bicolites are reportedly found by gold miners and were believed to indicate the presence of large gold nuggets nearby.

Bicolites are dark green glasses with a distinct texture. They are typically spherical in shape and are accented with contraction grooves. Like meteorites, no two Bicolites are the same, and their charming characteristics vary greatly.
