The NWA 12322 meteorite is a CV3 Carbonaceous Chondrite. Two meteorite stones of a total weight of 35.3 kgs were found in Niger. The stones were purchased in Morocco in 2018.

NWA 12322 is a very attractive meteorite abundant with colorful chondrules some of 2-3 mm size. Well-formed Granular and Barred Olivine are numerous. CAI’s are found commonly throughout the meteorite. Some of the CAIs reach 4-5 mm in size. NWA 12322 has only a moderate weathering grade and just an S2 shock stage. The matrix is fine-grained and the chondrules show well. The slices and end pieces offered here have a bright polish on one side and a smooth backside.
