Jikharra 001 Meteorite For Sale
Jikharra 001 was found in 2022 in Northeastern Libya. The total known mass is an estimated 2.5 tons. Jikharra 001 is classified as a eucrite-melt breccia.
Jikharra 001 meteorites often present as brown fragments with some fusion crust. When sliced, Jikharra 001 presents a light, cream-colored interior. Large, centimeter-sized lithic clasts are often observed in a matrix of recrystallized pigeonite. Jikharra 001 does not contain metallic iron and is primarily composed of pigeonite and calcic plagioclase.
