Plateau du Tademait 008 is a Martian Shergottite meteorite and the stone had patches of black fusion crust and in other areas a sandblasted surface that revealed olivine phenocrysts. The groundmass of the Plateau du Tademait 008 meteorite is a gray color with cut surfaces showing numerous pale green olivine phenocrysts up to approximately 1 cm in diameter. Small vesicles are scattered throughout the meteorite. The official classification of Plateau du Tademait 008 is Martian Shergottite ( olivine phyric basalt). Plateau du Tademait 008 has a high shock stage and a low weathering state.
